The 2025 Youth Consultation showed that clothes/costume design and making was one of the TOP 5 creative skills that respondents wanted to try! So, we proudly present to you our next Amelia Young Creatives course…
Spend a day with fashion professional, Penny Warner.
This is a creative fashion workshop exploring clothing as a form of identity, communication and self-expression. Participants customise T-shirts using paint, stencil, appliqué and mixed media techniques, experimenting with graphic imagery, text, layering and expressive surface design. Inspired by contemporary fashion, streetwear, punk and DIY aesthetics, protest graphics and youth culture, the workshop encourages participants to communicate ideas, emotions and individuality through wearable design.
Through hands-on making activities, participants explore fashion as a contemporary creative practice while developing confidence in experimentation, visual storytelling and personal expression.
