Secondary Schools - Amelia

Our secondary and SEND sessions at The Amelia challenge pupils to explore the museum’s collection and share their expertise. Our curriculum linked sessions and study days provide an opportunity to handle real museum objects as well as exploring the galleries and temporary exhibitions.

We also offer tailor-made workshops which can be linked to our main collection of natural history & local history or about study skills and using our library services. Being a unique venue, we can also offer careers talks about the varied roles at The Amelia. Onsite sessions are free and last for 1 hour or half or full study days.

Why not build up your sketchbook here at The Amelia and draw from real life. Choose objects from our handling collection such as skulls, taxidermy, Roman oil lamps, Victorian toys, Tunbridgeware and much more!

We also offer object loan boxes to use in the classroom. For details of all our school sessions and loans boxes and more download our learning brochure by clicking here.
