Survivor - A film by Zoom Rockman - Amelia

Survivor tells the story of Ivor Perl (https://hmd.org.uk/resource/ivor-perl/), who survived Auschwitz and is still alive today. 

Ivor was just 12 years old when he was taken to Auschwitz. He survived with the help of his older brother, but the rest of his family were murdered in the Holocaust.

"Out of my family, nine children and my mother and father, only me and my brother Alec survived. He saved me from the jaws of death."

Ivor has written the book 'Chicken Soup Under the Tree: A Journey to Hell and Back'

Zoom Rockman Biography

Zoom Rockman is an Award-winning political cartoonist, illustrator and film maker. Zoom was the youngest-ever regular contributor to: The Beano Comic (at 12), Private Eye Magazine (at 16), The Sunday Times (Zoom's Week at 21). He was named by the Evening Standard as one of the Most Influential Londoners Under 25. Zoom is currently working on an animated TV series featuring 'Skanky Pigeon,' a character he first created age 12 who starred monthly in the iconic British Comic, The BEANO, from 2012 – 2016.
